Another Sunday Movie Review - A Rant

More like Fifty Shades Fed-up!

The producers of this franchise could have given it all while they were still ahead. The three parts could have made a pretty explosive one movie or two, if they really hated the idea of one. Granted, the first part was novel and so sold like wild fire, after the second part, I believe readers of smut books were pretty frustrated.

The producers did shock audiences by pushing the boundaries of propriety in a box office, but after that, it was just bleh; humans adjust to things pretty quickly. The second part of the movie should have been more spectacular than the first, but it wasn't. So, the third was simply obligatory and for bragging rights "Yay! I saw Fifty Shades Freed".

As a pornographic movie, this would be a success, it has an awesome story line and numerous sex scenes that in a box office were quite vanilla. A movie like this needs the full dose, not giving a lot but not enough - know what I mean?

And then they went and said "Don't miss the Climax"

Yeah right! There was nothing climatic about it, I was only glad there was a bit of kidnap and fair action, or else, it would just been about watching a couple explore their sexual fetishes. I fervently pray there isn't another part to this franchise, I hope there isn't Fifty Shades After Freed, where Anna would probably decide to be exhibitionist!

A caricature of Fifty Shades of Grey had been released by Marlon Wayans - Fifty Shades of Black, where he, of course, was Mr. Black. As expected, it was equal parts ridiculous and hilarious and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

That the Fifty Shades franchise is hopefully done, I am Fifty Shades Relieved!

Now onto the next one...

Emem Bassey.

Movie Recommendation - Overcomer!

Made in 2019, I have no idea why I'd not seen this movie until now. Perhaps it was the right time. I'm not going to review Overcomer, I'm telling you to see it. Words from me cannot explain the morale that comes from seeing this film. So, find it and see it. Enjoy. ABOUT OVERCOMER From the creators of the #1 box-office hit, WAR ROOM, life changes overnight for coach John Harrison (Alex Kendrick) after he loses his basketball team and is challenged by the school’s principal, Olivia (Priscilla Shirer), to coach a new sport he doesn’t know or like. As John questions his own worth, he dares to help the least likely runner take on the biggest race of the year. Filled with a powerful mix of faith, humor, and heart, this inspirational story will have you on the edge of your seat. The Kendricks Brother are obviously amazing. I never knew I'd seen any of their movies. But apparently, I've seen 5 of the 6 movies they've made. Ciao!

Movie Review: God Calling...

BB Sasore, thank you for this movie. I have no idea if you experienced this movie or someone else did, but, I am convinced this movie couldn't have been someone's muse - this was real life experience! Ladies and gentlemen, if you haven't seen God Calling, you absolutely should. This movie has a star studded cast, amazing directing, apt graphics that just blow your mind and great acting that depicts reality to a zing. God Calling is about a family, man, wife and a daughter. They are happy, but wife doesn't like God or religion. It shows when she is forced to go to church by her little daughter and the pastor stops mid preaching to tell her 'God is calling you'. She scoffs it off and tells her husband that the pastor is looking for money. From thence, her life spirals out of control and brings her to a point she wants to kill herself... I cried and screamed during this movie, mostly because I've experienced something like it. Everyone needs to s

Pandemic Movie Review - Native Girl

It's been a minute, folks. Hope you're holding up okay in the lockdown. The pandemic has necessitated that we do any and all things and that includes all the channels on DStv,  even the terrible ones; cue - African Magic Epic...shoot me already! Anyway, this evening, the movie Native Girl came up and apart from the descriptive name, what caught my attention and held it was the director's name - Yul Edochie. (Ahem, a few of us fancy his gravelly voice). He's a great actor though, and this was the first time I was seeing him as director, I was really interested in the movie. Except, when the movie began, I got distracted by another person, the herione - Judy Austin. She was phenomenal as the native girl who could only speak Ibo language despite her absolute beauty. Brief description: Yul Edochie played Uchenna, a business man in the US whose mom wants grandkids and therefore introduces a woman to him on phone. Said woman is so beautiful he approves his mother&#
