Omugwo - Wednesday Movie Review

It was 20 minutes past midnight when the movie came on, and that happened because I'd set a reminder.  ( T ip:  this is the best time to catch awesome movies on dstv ) The name caught my attention but that reminder happened because I'd seen Kunle Afolayan as director. We all know Omugwo is an Ibo tradition where the mother of the just delivered wife stays for a time to take care of brand new baby and mother. I was excited to find out what this wonderful director would do with this overused story line, especially as a comedy. Patience Ozokwor, Ayo Adesanya, Ken Erics, Omowunmi Dada and somebody's new born baby and three month old baby, made up the main cast. Surprisingly, Patience was the good mother-in-law, even though she still exhibited some of the mischievousness that makes her a renown actress.
